Our New Year started very badly for people living in the Pacific Palisades.

The City of LA and surrounding cities were on fire. The week was also windy, which made the fire even worse. The wind spread the fire throughout LA. The fire was big; it burned 40,588 acres of land.

For Christmas me and my family got together, My grandparents and Aunts all got together at my house. We all ate tamales and pozole and had a fun time chatting about life, for dessert we had buñelos. To finish the day and start Christmas we lit a bonfire due to the freezing weather. The bonfire lasted for 4 hours we all had a fun time and enjoyed ourselves all in the family.
